2014

Our founders felt God’s leading to create a foster home for teen girls at risk to find refuge and family. They served 23 young women in this capacity and continue to provide extended family support for many to this day.

Our Story begins here, in downtown Hart MI.

2019

God led the leadership team into a season of reflection and research to decide how to best move forward as a ministry. The purpose remained clear: to serve and set free young women in need with the love of Christ.

2020

Harbor House engaged a consultant and formed a task force to develop a more sustainable ministry model with the intention of replication. We asked this question: how can we best steward the God-given vision, people, and resources for the greatest Kingdom impact?

2021

The Harbor House of Hart reopens its doors to welcome 2 beautiful participants into a new program called the Harbor House Journey. We continue to develop our strategies, grow our team, and prepare for miraculous growth for our entire Harbor House Community.

2022

Serving women in our community; respite and crisis housing, bible/book study, relational support. Harbor House daughters, past residents, come “Home” for the holidays and family visits. The ministry of hospitality continues to spread the love of Christ!

2023

Women’s Gathering Place (Resource Center) begins with regular weekly hours for women to connect, create, and communicate needs and pass on a skill, hobby, or resource. We are continuing to offer long-term housing and relational support for women 18-24, while also extending respite, retreat, and crisis housing for women of all ages as needs and opportunities arise that we are able to accommodate.

Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them to serve on another.
